Week 49

Sophia's face painting she had done at a birthday party - it was so sparkly and pretty!

Happy day, all.  No, I have no real reason to say that except that it is Tuesday and it rained last night and that we are just a few short weeks away from Summer vacation.  Put up your hand if you are excited to have school over with?  I cannot WAIT!  I am so done with school for the year!  That being said, this year has gone WAY too fast and it makes me afraid for what next year will feel like.  It feels like Christmas just ended and yet we are staring July in the eye somehow.
I finally got my curtains sewed and up but now I need to hem them.  Anyone want to put any bets down on how long it will take me to actually get around to that?
I started painting some furniture and I am not going to lie, it is a daunting task.  I am not a professional in any way and I am completely afraid that I am screwing it up for good!
Dallin only has two weeks of school left and then we have 2 glorious months off.  No evening classes, no homework, no studying, no more business cases.  Can you tell I am looking forward to it?!?
This week for dinner:

Sunday:
my inlaws invited us to stay when we picked up the kids so we had roast beef, roasted potatoes with carrots, parsnips and onions, parmesan asparagus, fruit salad and the cheesecake I made for dessert with homemade cherry compote.

Monday:
cinnamon BBQ chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, brown sugar glazed carrots and steamed sugar snap peas.

Tuesday:
Roasted cherry tomato, basil and mozzarella pasta with spinach salad, probably some watermelon as well

Wednesday:
meatloaf with creamy polenta, broccoli with cheese sauce and maybe some raw veggies

Thursday:
chicken stew with buttermilk biscuits, lemon pepper green beans and salad, either caesar or caprese or something

Friday:
early dinner since I have an appt and the girls have a birthday party.  Maybe black bean burritos and veggies & fruit (I keep saying we are going to make this and we haven't in ages!)

Saturday:
We have a full day Saturday so it will just be whatever we can fit it.  Possibly breakfast for dinner.
