Week 46

Wishing a Happy mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers in my life.  I am inspired by all of you and all you do to care for and raise these amazing kids.  I was spoiled all day long on Mother's Day and while I still had to cook dinner, it was one of my favourite meals so it was all good :)
Okay so all of the pics I promised are still coming.  I barely get 5 minutes on the computer lately and when I do it is in between kid demands.  At night when kids are finally settled down, I have either been sewing like crazy trying to get these curtains made while Dallin is in class (again pictures to come - they are only half done) or Dallin is home and using the computer to study and do homework on.  Life has been so busy for the past few months but we are getting so much done and having a lot of fun!
This weekend we are having a garage sale.  I am so excited to purge and get rid of so many things.  That is what is going to consume my nights for the rest of the week.  Deciding what will go and how much everything will cost!
For dinner this week:

Sunday:
Mother's Day.  BBQ ribs, grilled potatoes, peppers, mushrooms and onions, balsamic roasted asparagus with parmesan and coleslaw with yummy homemade dressing

Monday:
I made buns so we had hamburger sliders with cheddar, spinach, tomato and avocado, fresh fruit and veggies, leftover roasted potatoes and salad

Tuesday:
dinner at my parents because we had family in town - lamb burgers with more roasted potatoes and strawberry and goat cheese salad

Wednesday:
Hawaiian grilled chicken thighs, coconut rice, sesame zucchini and glazed carrots

Thursday:
grilled steak with jalapeño chimichurri, mashed potatoes, asparagus and spinach salad

Friday:
homemade pizza with fresh veggies and fruit

Saturday:
Going to a birthday party BBQ - kids will eat something easy at home

What did you do for Mother's Day?  Did you do anything special or receive any amazing gifts?  Dallin and the kids got me THIS and I love it so much (it says "my hands are almost as full as my heart" and has the kids' names on the inside circle and a freshwater pearl hanging from it).  I *may* have cried when I opened it!

  1. What an amazing mothers day gift!! Did he come up with that himself. Paul got me a necklace from the vintage pearl a few years ago and it was because I told him that is what I wanted and kept it open on the computer for a week. That is such a beautiful one! An amazing quote! I love The Vintage Pearl!
