Week 61

Taken at Red Rock Canyon in Waterton with our best and craziest friends - funnest week of the summer!

Okay so we're skipping.  Onward and upward, right?  Things are flying along here and I feel like I can hardly catch my breath.  With 4 people out of 6 in school, one of them also being the main breadwinner, it is a gong show around here.  Can I just say that I am glad Dallin will be done before Lydia starts?  I don't think I could take that .
We had our meeting last night for the Temple Tour Hosts.  We get to take people through the temple and tell them about each specific room.  I am so excited to see inside of it, I can hardly wait!  We get to do 2 shifts of tours, about 6-7 hours each.  They want 100,000 people to come through to tour it and I hope we can show them how beautiful and simple and wonderful the Temple is.  That we follow Jesus Christ and that we have temples because we love our families and want them to be eternal.  If you are in the Calgary area and want to go through for a tour, sign up here.  We would love to show you around!
Today is our 13 year anniversary.  I can hardly believe it has been 13 years.  That seems like a lifetime and yet so much has happened that I can't believe we have fit it all in.  I feel so lucky that I met my Mr. He is what I love most about my life.  That is how it should be.  I love my children and family but my Mr was here before it all and will be here long after they are gone.  He is my partner and my best friend.  I could not imagine this journey without him.  I am one lucky girl.

This week for dinner:

Sunday:
soy and brown sugar marinated chicken (so yummy!), roasted potatoes, steamed green beans and salad with cherry tomatoes, cukes, feta and my favourite dressing.

Monday:
We had a meeting very far away so Baba was babysitting.  They had pizzas and I ate after my meeting - bad idea, it was way too late to eat dinner :(

Tuesday:
Crockpot butter chicken, rice, naan, steamed carrots and baby peas, brownies with strawberries and whip cream for dessert

Wednesday:
Spaghetti with meatballs, spinach salad and fresh cut veggies, stuffed cheese buns

Thursday:
Asian Chicken drumsticks, fried rice, broccoli and red peppers

Friday:
We prepaid a babysitter from last week but then our meeting got cancelled so we are going out, probably dinner and a movie.  Not sure what the kids will eat.

Saturday:
I have a special women's church meeting to go to, they are feeding us dinner before and I am sure I will  go out with friend's after for dessert.  Dallin and the kids will have whatever he makes, my guess is breakfast for dinner (aka: pancakes, bacon and eggs)

What are you guys eating this week?  Any fall favourites making it into the menu yet?  We have had such hot weather that it hasn't seemed like fall and it is going to be hot again this weekend.  Maybe next week the soups and stews can make their way in .... if the weather cools down!  Not that I mind, that is.

  1. Pretty much nothing, since Bart has been out of town :) I'm terrible at cooking dinner when he's gone.
