I have been meaning to share this for a while. Emma loves to make things for people. Whenever it is someone's birthday or other special occasion, she puts her great brain to work and comes up with something she thinks they will love. She devotes time and attention to it and painstakingly creates her vision. She gives it with such love and kindness and I am always amazed at what she comes up with.
This year for Lydia's 2nd birthday, she decided to work off the theme of Princesses, since Lydia is currently obsessed. Anything with Disney Princesses on it is her favorite thing and she will cry and beg for anything she sees with these characters plastered on it. Thanks to Disney marketing, I can't go into a single store without a meltdown now!
Emma decided to draw and make princess puppets for Lydia. She colored them and glued them onto popsicle sticks and gave them to her. Lydia's eyes lit up as she recognized each on of her cherished "pensess" and she played with them and carried them around for days until they were not more than sticks. We are so thankful for Emma and her sweet, kind spirit and giving nature. What would we do without her?
