Week 37

Okay so I am getting ahead of myself, I was about to type week 38.  Apparently it is like the end of a pregnancy and I just want it to hurry up!
I am not pregnant, this has nothing to do with that.
If I could guarantee to have myself a little of the male variety, I would have another baby tomorrow.  I want Mr. Jack to have a brother.  Badly.
That does not mean I do not love my girls because I do.  I just am not ready to jump into the 4 teenage girls pool just yet.
Back to week 37.  We survived a birthday party of 10 year old proportions on Friday and I watched a frustrating Chick Flick but had lots of fun with friends so it was worth it.

This week for dinner .....

Sunday:
Pork Tenderloin with a rub of some sort.  I just starting putting things together for the rub and I hope it works out!  Mashed potatoes, zucchini and glazed carrots on the side.

Monday:
Beef Stroganoff.  It is the only thing I did not make on last week's menu so I WILL make it this week.  Egg noodles and green beans and maybe some fresh bread if I get a chance to make it tomorrow.

Tuesday:
Heart-Shaped pizzas at Boston Pizza for Valentine's Day with the kidlets and my dad.  Love doing that!

Wednesday:
Glazed Meatloaf with crispy "smashed" baby potatoes, buttered peas and salad

Thursday:
Coconut Green Curry Chicken over brown basmati rice and broccoli

Friday:
Date Night - maybe out for dinner

Saturday:
Something easy at home - maybe some paninis made from a rotisserie chicken

What do you cook when you are trying to make something easy?  What do you cook on the weekends, if anything?  Share your menus with me .... please?!?!?!?

  1. on weekends when we go on a date the kids get tortellini. On the other night I usually do something in the crockpot so i don't have to think about it all day.

Oh and I hope the frustrating chick flick wasn't the vow 'cause thats where I'm going tonight

  2. Oh no Laura, it was! Hope you enjoyed it more than I did. It had it's moments but it just made me grumpy at the end. It did not work out like I wanted. Looking at Channing Tatum for 2 hours wasn't too bad though ......

  3. Hey Tami, On unprepared nights we sometimes have wraps made with Costco chicken strips. Trying to get some veggies in with our processed chicken. We also do pasta which I now throw together a jar of tomato sauce with a bunch of veggies in the vitamix to boost nutrition in it. Then I can feel great about it. Tonight I wanted to make you squash soup. I thought that you had it on here somewhere. I do love your blog. Itgives me ideas! Thanks!
