Can I just say that I am so glad last week is over? Of course it is another busy week, and will be for a while, but I am just glad to get one more thing done. We had a Teacher Development and Training for our church Primary and I HATE speaking in front of people, especially adults. I hate even more when I am supposed to be the "expert" or teaching someone about something. I am not good at that :(
We have also delved into the scary realm of potty training. Thankfully Lydia is doing so well and really picked it up. She is going and telling us when she needs to go, not many accidents and she stayed dry the entire time at church. We have yet to successfully venture out with underwear (we went to the neighbours' last night and she dribbled on her underwear within minutes because she did not make it to the bathroom in time). I will keep you posted on this terribly exciting topic!
I am taking another stab at multigrain bread today. I made it a few weeks ago but it did not turn out. I am hopeful based on the loaves before I put them in the oven and if they taste better than the last batch I made they should be delicious, the other batch tasted great but was just flat. Fingers crossed.
We are on week 3 of grad school. Heaven help us. Is it summer yet?!?
On to our menu:
Sunday:
Lovely friends invited us into their home for a delicious dinner - shredded chicken tacos/chicken taco salads. It was so good and we are lucky to have such amazing friends!
Monday:
Pork tenderloin with a balsamic honey glaze, roasted potatoes, buttered peas, brown sugar carrots
Tuesday:
Peppercorn steak, sauteed mushrooms and onions, loaded mashed potatoes, parmesan roasted asparagus, spinach salad
Wednesday:
Homemade pizza - probably cheese for the kids, bacon, caramelized onion and tomato for me
Thursday:
Asian Drumsticks, fried rice, sesame broccoli and red peppers
Friday:
Date Night - out to dinner either with friends or by ourselves
Saturday:
I am thinking maybe paninis - pick your own meat, cheese and toppings
What are you cooking this week? Any recipes you are dying to try? What foods are you craving? I really want things with bright flavours or anything with lime or lemon. I made homemade hummus for the first time yesterday and cannot stop eating it!!!
