Week 20

(Sophia for her pirate party last week at school)

Ahoy, mateys.  How did everyone like Conference?  If you did not watch, you can go HERE to see any or all of it.  We had a great weekend, eating food and listening to inspired talks.  I love hearing the messages that I know are meant for me.  I was impressed by Elaine Dalton's talk on How to Raise Daughters - it was exactly what I needed to hear and know.  I am so grateful that God knows me well enough to give me such clear instructions!
This week is a big one.  It is Thanksgiving and really, begins my favorite season.  From here until Christmas it is just holidays and good food, family and fun!  To add to the craziness we decided we would paint our Master bedroom, ensuite bath and closet this weekend.  Won't that be fun?  It would have been more fun to go to Saskatoon to visit my Sister-in-love and her sweet family but this will have to be second best :P
For our menu this week ....

Sunday:
We ended up having an impromptu dinner at neighbors house after watching some conference together and we had a compilation meal of her homemade salsa and quesadillas, my butternut squash soup leftover from my catering gig the night before and lots of fruit and veggies from both of our fridges.

Monday:
Roast beef with dijon gravy, parmesan mashed potatoes, golden beets and roasted asparagus

Tuesday:
Chicken a la king over rice, green beans and a salad

Wednesday:
leftovers - we have a tonne of roast left and will probably have some left from Tuesday as well

Thursday:
sloppy joes on buns, oven homefries, broccoli, salad

Friday:
Not sure - we will be painting all day so whatever we can come up with

Saturday:
repeat, probably take out

Sunday:
Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws home, can't wait for the yummy turkey!  Gobble Gobble

  1. I can't tell you any of my meals because I get all my inspirations here :) Too bad about not coming to SK, we will mis you! Okay one meal I make that my kids gobble is meat balls. They love it and I hate it- why does it always work like that?
