Week 14

Happy Monday all.  We are creeping ever closer to the end of summer and reality is starting to hit.  I am not ready to give up our leisurely mornings or our days at the beach just yet.  We have such short summers here and it is crushing that we are almost done with it.  I will be soaking up every last second, cramming in some canning and jam making as well as BBQing as much as possible!

For dinner this week ....

BBQ ribs and chicken drumsticks, steamed baby potatoes with chives, roasted asparagus, corn on the cob (Jensen Taber corn of course!) and green salad with mango and avocado with homemade dressing

leftover - dinner last night was SO good and I want to enjoy it again :)  Peach cobbler for dessert (I can smell it baking right now and cannot WAIT to eat it!)

steak with mushrooms and grilled onions, baked potatoes and grilled veggies

chicken thighs with italian cream sauce in the crockpot (since I think we will head to the beach that day), rice and green beans

sloppy joes on homemade buns, oven fries, peas, salad

hopefully out for dinner with my sweetie and then to a movie - probably frozen pizza or farfale alfredo for the kids

picnic dinner out at Sheep River Falls for church so probably sandwiches and chips and veggies and fruit

Your turn - I want to see some menus.  C'mon people, you have to be eating SOMETHING!  Tell me what you had last week or what you are wanting to make this week even if you don't make it or something you have been dreaming of making for a while.  I need some ideas!!!
