The Dreaded "P" Word

We have been doing it since Christmas. You got it, Potty Training. We decided that Jack is well old enough now and despite not have much interest, it was time. It isn't like he didn't want to, just didn't care either way. We would take him, he would go, and off he went to play. If we forgot to take him again he would go in his pull-up. Not caring at all. If we did take him again, he would use the potty again. Simple as that. I think he has finally gotten it. I hate to even say it out loud for fear of jinxing it. He finally has started to tell us he has to go. He even wakes up dry every morning and will wake in the night to pee! How is that for catching on?!?! He rarely has accidents and most times will even take off a pull-up to go (although he does take advantage of these every once and a while when I put one on him, like when I shower). I am hoping this means we are down to one in diapers. I dream of the day when I no longer have another bum to wipe or diaper to change. In a way I am not quite ready for my babies to grow up but in another I am so GRATEFUL to not be changing Jack's diapers any more!!!

  1. Hooray for Jack! When they finally reach that step you feel like throwing a party! That is great.
